What is OxFood?
Community access to local food in and around Oxford – a sustainable local food project forming part of the Low Carbon Oxford programme in conjunction with Oxford City Council and Community Action Groups Project.
Here, you’ll find a growing number of entries as we research those people and organisations engaging in local food issues. OxFood visit as many of the stakeholders as possible and aim to provide quality, digested information rather than a load of links.
As well as becoming a hub of information, OxFood hope to encourage discussion on the most important questions surrounding local food in the 21st Century. It is our hope that the shared subject of food can provide a forum to help us jointly explore some of the environmental challenges we face and how we can act as individuals and communities to build a sustainable future. We strongly believe that local food should be accessible to all and that the best way of achieving that is for us all to share our knowledge and ideas. OxFood will actively research viable business or social enterprise models within the Oxfordshire local food network.
